Since 1980, John Doherty has presented the finest caricaturists working in New England. For 16 years during and after the run of the NBC-TV show Cheers, John was the House Caricaturist of the real life inspiration for the setting, The Bull & Finch Pub. Doherty has drawn everyone from U. S. Senators, presidential candidates, congressmen, and Ambassadors to members of the rock bands Aerosmith, The Grateful Dead & Hot Tuna. He has been invited to lecture on facial recognition at MIT, and has twice been honored by the dominant body of professional caricaturists, The International Caricaturist Network and has been invited to display his work at the Salon at St. Just, France .
